Yu-Gi-Oh! it is part of everyone’s childhood. The anime became a must in the 1990s and 2000s and then prompted the creation of a successful card game that still stands today, as demonstrated by the publication of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. This brand was born Kazuki Takahashithe mangaka who launched the series on Weekly Shonen Jump.
Unfortunately, news has arrived confirmed by the Japanese broadcaster NHK. The author of Yu-Gi-Oh! Kazuki Takahashi was found dead. At 10:30 am on 6 July 2022, a body was found in the sea off the coast of Nago, one of the cities of the Okinawa archipelago, with snorkeling equipment. The Nago coastguard could do nothing but identify the body, which turned out to be that of the mangaka. The author would have turned 61 in October. At the moment, the Japanese police and guard are investigating the case.
The loss of the genius that gave birth to the king of games is undoubtedly striking. After Yu-Gi-Oh, the mangaka has mostly focused on short stories like THE COMIQ, as well as collaborations of various kinds, without focusing on the spin-offs and sequels of the manga. But he will always be remembered for that Duel Monsters, a game that will live and carry on the memory for a very long time.
