Dragon Ball Super 85, victim or villain: who is Gas?

by Harry Brown

The June appointment of Dragon Ball Super has finally turned the spotlight on a new battle between the two protagonists against Gas, Elec’s henchman, with a strong desire that made him extremely powerful and dangerous. But can we consider the Heeters member a real villain?

Just as happened at the beginning of the current story arc, like Granolah, readers are starting to wonder if indeed Gas can be considered a villain in all respects. There Saga of the Survivor Granolah introduced the Heetersthe group headed by Elec which seems to direct more than a few actions within the universe from behind the scenes.

Indeed, he himself expressed the desire to make Gas the strongest individual in the universe, even if Elec’s real request to the Cereal dragon is currently unknown. The warrior of the Heeters, during chapter 85, was cornered by Goku and Vegeta, thus forcing the leader to intervene to reinvigorate hard the soul and the spirit of his henchman, all in front of Maki and Oil not exactly convinced of Elec’s actions. Probably, in fact, the latter brings with it plans that we are not yet aware of and Gas could be nothing more than a simple tool by means of achieving these objectives. After all, the warrior, Maki and Oil seem to be linked by sincere friendship, all of them except their leader.

In light of the latest events, therefore, it seems legitimate to think of Gas not as a real villain, but as a victim of the plans of the leader of the Heeters. But the question then arises spontaneously: why do all of them follow his orders so faithfully? Tell us what you think of these reflections with a comment below.
