After the release in Japan of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the master Akira Toriyama, heavily involved in the project, continues to reveal some information relating to the production. Following the details revealed about Piccolo, his favorite character, the sensei apologized to the voice actor of the film’s true antagonist.
As many of you already know, thanks to the numerous spoilers published on the net, the villain in question is Cell Maxan enhanced and gigantic version of the android introduced in Dragon Ball Z. A return that many fans have welcomed with clamor and enthusiasm, also considering the importance of being able to see Gohan, once again the protagonist, against Cell.
With the appreciations came also the criticisms, aimed above all at the lack of depth and bad characterization given to a character of the genre. Cell Max certainly does not shine for the dialogues, as he basically expresses himself through verses, as if it were a real Kaiju.
And it is precisely referring to this choice that Toriyama apologized to the voice actor Norio Wakamoto: “he is a giant with excessively bright colors, which wreaks havoc by making verses, so I feel guilty about the voice actor, and is an industry veteran. I am very sorry”.
Finally, remember that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will arrive in Italy in September.
