The 74th edition of the Emmy Awards, and as happens every year, the candidates for all categories have been revealed, including the two for the animation sector. Let’s find out which projects are considered the most interesting, and with a high productive value, which could win such prestigious prizes.
Currently in the list of categories related to animation, which fall under the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, are found “Best Animated Series” And “Best Program or Animated Short“. For the first category they were nominated
- Bob’s Burgers
- The Simpsons
- Rick and Morty
- What If…?
While the first three have been practically ubiquitous for several years, it’s interesting to note how Arcane, by Riot Games and Fortiche Production, praised both by fans of the MOBA League of Legends and by those who have never approached the game for the incredible quality of the animations and art direction, and What If…? of Marvel Studios have been able to reach such important milestones and stages.
While, for the category concerning animated anthological series or animated shorts the candidates are:

- Robot Chicken
- Star Wars: Visions
- The Boys Presents: Diabolical
- Lisa this is Billie
Disney also returns to this category with Star Wars: Visions, an interesting project that required the involvement of seven Japanese animation studios, as well as Gracie Films and 20th Century Fox with 3 minute short film Lisa, this is Billie.
