Over the next year, the Japanese animated industry will be enriched with rather interesting titles. Among the novelties arriving in 2023, there is the recent announcement of The Tale of the Outcaststaken from the manga series of the same name by Makoto Hoshino.

By opening the official pages and issuing a first promotional key visual, the anime adaptation of The Tale of the Outcasts has been officially announced. At the moment, there is no certain information on the series, but the debut should take place by the end of next year. To celebrate the announcement of the anime, Makoto Hoshino shared two original illustrations depicting the two protagonists of the work. In 2023, Don’t toy with me, Miss Nagatoro 2nd Attack will also arrive.

The Tale of the Outcasts tells the story of Wisteria, an orphan girl who lives in a remote country of the British Empire in the late nineteenth century. Her lonely life suddenly changes when she meets Malbus, an immortal and powerful, hairy-looking being who is haunted by hunters. United, Wisteria and Malbius travel across the empire, populated by humans and anthropomorphic beasts, looking for a place where they can finally live happily together. Next year, there will also be room for the release of the second season of Mushoku Tensei.

In some ways very similar to Beauty and The Beast, Hoshino’s manga has made his own debut in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in August 2019. The series came to an end in 2021 with the publication of the eighth and last tankobon.
