My Hero Academia: the relationship between little Deku and Bakugo in Yoshinori’s sketch

by Harry Brown

Before reaching the final act of My Hero Academiaand leave room for important issues to be explored, Deku went through a dark period of his existence, managing to get rid of it only thanks to the help and comfort of his companions, in particular his childhood friend, and in some way rival, Katsuki Bakugo.

Although their relationship appears as an unhealthy friendship, especially in the first few chapters and the several flashbacks shown by Horikoshi over the course of the series, the growth of both, and the Bakugo’s awareness of Deku’s enormous responsibility as the bearer of the Quirk One For All, they have helped make them incredible allies. Their friendship was often the protagonist of the illustrations that Yoshinorione of Horikoshi’s assistants, shares with the community about his official accounts.

Yoshinori seems to have a certain passion in representing the protagonists when they were still free and carefree children, periods far from the brutality of the war between Heroes and Villain that is engaging everyone in the current chapters. And this time, instead of drawing them in a happy moment, Yoshinori preferred represent them arguingwith an exaggeratedly angry Bakugo ready to beat a Deku unable to react.

We also remember that chapter 359 of My Hero Academia will return after a short break Sunday 17 July 2022 on Manga Plus.
