Naruto: A special illustration by Kishimoto for the collaboration with Yahiko

Naruto is one of the many works in the Japanese comic sector that has contributed to bringing traditional elements of Japanese culture into the common imagination. In addition to references to mythology, food and drink from Japan also received space in the series, and over the years they have been the basis of several collaborations.

Among the many foods consumed by Naruto and his companions during the series is also the sakethe famous alcoholic drink, mainly combined with the character of Jiraiyaone of the three Sannin of the Leaf Village, as well as a fundamental mentor in the path undertaken by the protagonist.

One of the most recent collaborations with the Naruto franchise was started by famous company Yahiko Shuzo, linked to the Yahiko shrine, located at the foot of the mountain of the same name. On the occasion of the production of limited version bottles, mangaka Masashi Kishimoto, who returned to work on the sequel to the series, Boruto, was asked to create the nice illustration that you can see below.

Naruto, represented as he was in the first part of the series, holds up a large bottle of sake, and behind him you can see just Jiraiya with a happy grin, ready to drink all that alcohol.
