Shoot! Goal to the Future, a new movie previews the closing theme

Almost three decades after the debut of the manga series Tsukasa Ooshima’s husband on football, Shoot! is about to return with the new sequel series Goal to the Future. The latest teaser trailer for Shoot! Goal to the Future, presents an absolute preview of the closing theme of the anime.

Atsushi Kamiya is the former captain of the Kakegawa High School, as well as a world-famous player after playing for an Italian football team. Hideo Tsuji, on the other hand, is a new student at Kakegawa High School who is totally uninterested in the football training of his now-ruined institute. From their meeting, a new one is born football legend.

In the short promotional clip, we can preview some frames from the series, as well as listen to the final theme. “Rivals”, is performed by the duo all at once. Previously, it was reported that the opening theme “Aoreido” was given to Airi Miyakawa. In the voice cast, we find Chiaki Kobayashi as Hideto Tsuji, Yuichiro Umehara as Atsushi Kamiya and Shunichi Toki as Subaru Kurokawa.

Shoot! Goal to the Future will debut on July 2nd as part of Crunchyroll’s 2022 summer schedule. The series is produced by Boa Sorte Management, with Noriyuki Nakamura directing the EMT Squared animation studio.

The original manga series of Shoot! was published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine between 1990 and 2003. An anime adaptation was produced by TOEI Animation in 1993. The following year, a sequel short film arrived.
